About the School

The Farmer’s Arms Workshop Manager Tom Philipson has attracted many fans and collectors of his beautiful ceramic and wooden objects, some of whicha re the top selling items in our Honest and online shops.

Join Tom at a local woodland for this autumnal wander, where he will identify native trees, discuss their folklore and their characteristics as timber for the craftsperson and maker, and collect materials for later projects.

After the short trip back to The Farmer's Arms Workshops, Tom will guide you to make a simple wooden object for the home to take away with you.

Places are limited to 6 people, so be quick if you don’t want to miss out. You’ll need to provide your own transport to get to the woodland and The Farmer’s Arms, but we’ll provide all of the tools you’ll need to participate, and plenty of tea and cake - Book Your Place Here.
