A large open plan lounge and dining room sits at the heart of the accommodation, offering several comfy seating areas for relaxing in or watching TV. Views out onto open countryside enhance the large dining area, complete with a retro record player (and vinyl to spin). The adjacent kitchen has been newly equipped with all you need to make great holiday food easy.
Bespoke fittings enhance every room in The Farmer’s Loft, mixing hand-picked vintage and retro pieces to give character and warmth to the space. As you’d expect from a property owned by renowned creative organisation Grizedale Arts, the apartment is thoughtfully decorated with original and unique art and crafts, with many pieces made on site in the inn’s own studio workshops or curated from Grizedale Arts’ extensive collection.
Meticulous attention has been given to providing all the conveniences you need to make your stay comfortable. All this, just a few minutes from the historic Stable Bar in the oldest part of the inn, from the lounge & cafe (opening late October) and from the outdoor pizza oven which cranks out delicious authentic italian pizzas on Friday evenings. Guests are welcome to enjoy the inn’s garden at all times, and can expect a warm welcome at the bar when they venture downstairs from the Loft.

Guests access The Farmer’s Loft via a separate rear door at the inn (with a key safe so arrivals can be hassle-free), up a well-lit private staircase that opens onto a generous hallway offering storage for boots, prams, backpacks and the like.
Bedroom 1 has a comfortable double bed with antique oak frame, roomy storage and lovely open views up the Crake Valley, especially at sunset.
Bedroom 2 is spacious and bright, with two single beds, good storage and views of wooded hillsides.
The Master Bedroom includes a King size double bed and stylish retro furniture.
There’s a generously sized shower room and a separate W.C (handy for family groups), and the apartment is centrally-heated throughout, so it’s cosy in winter too.
