The Wood Fired Oven
Our beautiful outdoor wood-fired oven sits in prime position in our garden by the workshops.
We regularly cook outdoors serving Thursday night pizzas freshly baked to order, eat in or takeaway from 5.00pm – 8.30pm. Our menu uses the best Italian ingredients alongside local seasonal produce, and we make the all-important pizza base dough in-house. See our seasonal sample menus below, and we always have a few specials on too.
The oven is built from local larch with copper detailing – the black charring is a traditional Japanese weatherproofing technique. The oven was designed by Hayatsu Architects and built by architecture students from Central St Martins in London.
The oven is also available for private party bookings and workshops in the summer months (fantastic for tricky-to-please kids and teenagers!) – contact us for details.
