Join Rob in our workshops for this one off Saturday leather working course…
About the Workshop:
Come and spend a day making a belt! Starting with high-quality vegetable tanned leather and solid brass we will learn how to cut, skive, bevel, burnish and stitch to make an heirloom-quality, made to measure belt that you can use and enjoy everyday. This is a great project for beginners and those interested in the craft, we will cover all of the fundamental skills of leatherwork at a comfortable pace, and walk away with a fantastic end product.
About the Maker:
Rob originally began working with leather when living and working in the woods, making simple things like pouches and tool sheaths that would help him in his day-to-day life. Nearly a decade later Rob has only gotten more and more passionate about the material, he loves designing and making useful things and watching the leather get better with age. His creations are inspired by the natural world and designed to be practical, durable and beautiful. Outside of his craft Rob works as a mountain leader and woodland worker and can usually be found exploring the forests and hills
