MARK THE RUSTIC, HAGGIS-FED: THE TREMBLING EARTH RESOUNDS THEIR TREAD!
The Farmer’s Arms reopens the 25th of January to celebrate Burns Night: an evening of dining and dancing in honour of the Scottish poet Robert Burns.
Enjoy a three course dinner of classic Scottish dishes made using the best local ingredients. In keeping with tradition, the arrival of the haggis will be heralded by live bagpipes. After addresses from Grizedale Arts associate artists, the night concludes with Scottish dancing in the Old Barn – our café by day – to the tune of the Celtic Fiddles.
There is a choice of omnivore or vegan menus and homemade non-alcoholic drinks will be available on the bar alongside our usual offerings. If you can’t join us for dinner, £6 tickets are available to join us later for drinks and dancing.
