Enjoy a night of Irish folk-influenced music with guitarist Jimmy Patrick and the McGoldrick Sisters, followed by an open jam session.
Jimmy Patrick, Catherine (Flute) and Ciara (Concertina/vocals) McGoldrick form part of a bigger line-up in the McGoldrick family band with world-renowned flautist Mike McGoldrick. Their music ranges from foot-tapping jigs and reels to slow airs and melancholic songs.
This event will begin with their live performance, followed by a casual and informal jam so feel free to bring your instruments!
Make a night of it and dine with us, taking your pick from our unique and locally-sourced dishes and enjoy a wide selection of local ales, sprits and natural wines.
About the band:
Jimmy grew up in Barrow-in-Furness before studying music at Newcastle University. Whilst travelling and living abroad, Jimmy has cherrypicked elements of international guitar techniques and brought them into his own unique style. He has performed across the UK and Ireland, Europe, Scandinavia and Asia.
Catherine and Ciara, nieces of Mike McGoldrick, both studied music at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow. They’ve also performed with a host of world-renowned artists at many festivals internationally.
The McGoldrick family have just finished recording their first album and will next feature at Warwick Folk Festival later this Summer.
