The Stable Bar Presents: Coldharbour Road

We welcome back Coldharbour Road as old meets new on our Stable Bar’s Thursday Night Music line-up with their squeezebox-driven folk rock.

Pick up a pint and treat yourself to one of our delicious freshly-baked wood fired pizza and enjoy the eclectic sounds of this local band as they perform a set of folk classics and old gold!

Coldharbour Road are a three-piece band featuring Squeezebox, vocals, guitar and conga drums. Primarily playing folk and roots, they also venture into the world of rock in their own unique style. Mixing the traditional and the modern; their songs include material from the likes of Richard Thompson, Lindisfarne, Stackridge, The Pogues, Fairport Convention, The Albion Band, Fisherman’s Friends, Mr Fox and even some offerings from Green Day, The Clash, Chumbawumba and The Cure.

Having started life as a ceilidh band (The Noise Club), they’ve have retained a number of their favourite tunes in their repertoire. Whilst they mostly play in an English style, there are some Celtic and Scandinavian influences too. For more information about the band, see their Facebook.
