Enjoy a blast from the past as our car park is filled with 50 classic cars during Morecambe Car Club’s Grand Tour coffee stop.
The crews and cars of Morecambe Car Club are visiting The Farmer’s Arms as they run their non-competitive Touring Assembly Coronation Special – “The Illuminations Grand Tour” – revisiting special routes of the 1970s & 1980s Lakeland rallies. At a more leisurely pace and with the luxury of daylight, those taking part can see the challenges faced by the Lakeland legends of yesteryear and judge for themselves if the tales were tall or true!
In the early part of the rally era, the Furness & DMC headquarters was the Farmers Arms. The local crews were a force to be reckoned with and amongst the best in the country. It was here that the members from throughout the County gathered for social evenings, quiz nights, and the start and finish of various motor rallies.
