    On 25th September the lovely Ilse Pedler, widely p On 25th September the lovely Ilse Pedler, widely published prize winning poet and workshop leader, will be back hosting her popular spoken word open mic evening. 

This month she will be joined by guest poet Ina Anderson who is launching her new collection ‘Sky Furniture’. The collection offers childhood memory and magic along with stark observations of our broken world.

Just £5 entry- come along to contribute or just listen! Sign up on the door for the five-minute open mic spots. Experienced writers or newcomers’ welcome whatever your poetry style. The session will run from 6:30-8pm

Ilse has facilitated workshops for many different organisations and is also poet in residence at Sidmouth Folk Festival and co-editor of Bending The Arc, a Substack of thrutopian writing. It’s important to Ilse in facilitating poetry events that they should be inclusive, stimulating and promote a sense of community.

Friday 19th is our big evening with live music from 3pm onwards with @reubentighemusic and the legendary Holborn Hillbillies 

Entry is free, although for £30 you can take home a commemorative handmade pint tankard by our in house potter @francislklloydjones (and fill it up with lots of local beer). Plus enjoy a slice of our woodfired pizza with a ticket on the day 

We’re joined by @fellbrewery @loganbeckbrewing @blindtigermixology who will be serving drinks from 2pm onwards 

The community taxi will be running between The Ship in Kirby, The Manor in Broughton and The Grayhound in Grizebeck for just £3pp
