Café Teen
The cosy heart of the inn, our café offers a relaxed space for lunch, coffee, a snack with the kids or (with its free wifi) even a spot of work. Well-behaved dogs are welcome too.
Our Café is run by our amazing teenagers, well known to our regulars as they’ve been working with us for several years. They’re now of an age that they can get more involved in the mechanics of how a cafe business works. They’re supported by us at all times, but have control of the menu and business model!
We offer a simple and tasty cafe style menu, catering for dietary requirements where appropriate. Our baking is done in-house, and our cakes, are served from an enormous carved dresser that has furnished this room for over a century. The café menu is also available to takeaway. Amongst our soft drinks is apple juice home-made from local orchards.
The café is furnished with original antiques, vintage finds and hand-made new furniture and fittings made in house by our team. We serve from crockery and tableware we craft in our own pottery, and these are also for sale in our shop.
We are happy to cater for functions and private hires, and have a separate dining room and outside space available.
