As of July 2026 we are – regrettably – no longer able to open our Stable Bar regularly. But we’ll open the Bar and serve food at many of our events – check out What’s On to see these.
We are open as usual for our workshops, pottery drop-ins, garden, orchard and community events. Our accommodation also remains available.

THURSDAYS 1-2pm

We open every Thursday from 1-2pm for a Community Lunch cooked by our wonderful volunteers Rosemary and Brian. Just £7 per head for a main course, pudding and unlimited tea and coffee. All welcome.
Walk-ins only, no bookings taken. Card payment preferred. No bar.

In autumn and winter we host a weekly Thursday talks programme starting at 6:30pm from artists, poets, historians, gardeners and more. Check out What’s On for info / booking.

SATURDAYS 11am – 4pm

CafeTeen serves hot and cold food, coffee and lovely cakes on Saturdays, managed and staffed by our very capable and youngest staff drawn from the local community. CafeTeen is a unique youth project supporting local young people to learn business, hospitality and creative skills: Each participant splits their day between working in the cafe and doing creative projects. We especially appreciate your support for this project.

YOUR SPECIAL EVENT?

Our wonderful bar and dining room is available to hire throughout the year, with a bespoke service for parties, conferences, talks, pub quizzes, workshops, weddings – big or small. We can cater in-house or help advise on alternatives. We also have wonderful crafts people on hand to embellish your event with beautiful decorations, flowers or even bespoke crockery!
