Poetry Writing Workshop: The Sound of Silence

What are the different types of silence and how can we use words to explain them? Come and explore the quiet moments with poet Ilse Pedler. Using poems and other material as prompts, participants will be encouraged to produce their own creative writing in a supportive and encouraging environment.

No previous experience is necessary but the workshop will also cater for more experienced writers. Just bring pen, paper and enthusiasm.

It is also possible to stay on to the pub’s community lunch after the workshop, for an additional cost of £7PP (pay on the day)- great value and delicious way to end the morning!

Ilse Pedler is a widely published prize-winning poet and workshop leader. She has facilitated workshops for many different organisations and is also poet in residence at Sidmouth Folk Festival. Her workshops are stimulating and inclusive but above all fun.
