National Meadows Day: Diana’s Orchard Grand Opening

We are marking National Meadows Day at The Farmer’s Arms with Diana’s Orchard Grand Opening – launch of our new community orchard named for our beloved Gardening School volunteer Diana Rutherford and supported by funding from @friendsoflakes, @cumbriacf and King Charles Community Orchard Fund. Come down for family friendly activities and refreshments, 1:30pm to 3:30pm.

Earlier in the day 10:00am to 12:30pm we have our Making a Meadow workshop at The Farmer’s Arms led by Grizedale Arts’ Head Gardener Karen Guthrie (£12 pp, booking required) if you want to make a day of it – see the separate listing under workshops & courses to book.

And if you really want to get stuck in there are still places available (be quick, they are selling fast!) on our Learn to Scythe workshop on July 4 (£95 pp, ages 16+, booking required) led by specialist Steve Tomlin.
