This week’s is an Irish themed quiz- still time to brush up on your knowledge before getting down to the pub for an 8pm start.
Our artist, curator and chef in residence Yunkyung Our artist, curator and chef in residence Yunkyung Kam will be serving her delicious Korean Bingsu Ice Cream over the weekend at the Lawson Park Open House and Gardens. 🍧

YK has been with us for the last week at the pub developing her Bingsu flavours with a shaved ice machine and cooking up a storm in the pub kitchen.

Her project AI SCREAM is a dessert project that explores our senses in the age of AI, reflecting on the absence of sensory experience which we’re gradually losing in daily life. Born from the pun “I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!”, the word AI overlaps with 아이 ai (child in Korean) and ice cream— a playful linguistic slip, almost like an AI glitch.

She’s been working on combining AI-suggested flavors with local ingredients (figs and elderberries) to create child-friendly scoops as well as cocktail-style desserts.

YK’s past experience at Grizedale Arts left a deep imprint on her life and philosophy. Together with her husband, who works with photography and glass, she runs 시작점(@sijak.shop) - a dessert & photo shop in Seoul where they bake bread daily, organise exhibitions and events, and move fluidly across catering and menu development without boundaries.

This summer, returning to Grizedale Arts, YK “quietly witnessed the interwoven textures of labor, relationships, and nature.”

AI SCREAM will keep evolving—stay tuned!

Thank you @yk_day for all your hard work, friendship and delicious treats ❤️
