DIY Apple Pressing

Bring up to 20 kilos of fruit (eaters and cookers both make great juice) & your own bottles! We will assist you to juice your fruit and  Charge 50p per litre to cover costs of us hiring the South Lakes Orchard Group kit (cash or card accepted). A kilo of apples yields about 500ml of juice (just under a pint).

IMPORTANT INFO:

Rinse your fruit before you bring it. A few bruises are fine.

We’ll be juicing outside whatever the weather, so dress accordingly.

You must bring your own pre-washed bottles / vessels for the juice & a bucket / trug to take away your juiced pulp, which can be composted at home or disposed of.

Max. 20 kilos of fruit per person / household – play fair!
