The Lake District Farmer’s Arms Gardening School X Ford Park, Ulverston (12 Week Course)
Make 2025 your green-fingered year with a new Ulverston-based collab!
Maybe you want to feed your family with easy home-grown veg, grow gorgeous cut flowers or make a wildlife haven beside your backdoor.
However you want to garden, learn hands-on in this new joint venture between Ford Park and the established Lowick-based gardening school at community pub The Farmer’s Arms, where local organisation Grizedale Arts has been teaching all sorts of people how to grow in local conditions for the last 5 years.
Across 12 weeks in Ford Park’s gorgeous Walled Garden, expert teacher Hazel Sharples will guide participants through seasonal tasks on flowers, vegetables, fruit, and much much more. Responding to what happens week by week, you will cover all the basics of gardening in just a couple of hours a week. And you’ll be contributing to keeping Ford Park wonderful too.
With places restricted to twelve, you’ll get practical guidance in easy bite-size chunks, and plenty of time to ask questions every week. Beginners are especially welcome. Tools and all the materials you’ll need are supplied.
