Wolftown Rendezvous bring you an exciting, energetic mix of gypsy jazz, swing and eclectica on violin, guitars, double bass and voice. Based in Ulverston and South Lakes, they love to surprise and entertain!

Music is free in the Stable Bar and we will be serving our wood fired pizzas from 5-8.30pm

Cafeteen is looking for new members - it’s a profit sharing cafe at the Farmers Arms Lowick green - as a member of the team you run the cafe and get a guaranteed wage with profit sharing on top. Main – Roast haunch of Grizedale venison, medley of root vegetables and wild garlic potato rosti

Next Wednesday we’re talking to Fernando García

Next Wednesday we’re talking to Fernando García Dory- neo-pastoral artist and agroecologist whose work focuses on current relationships between culture and nature within the framework of landscape, utopia, and social change.

One of his major works to date includes organising an experimental shepherd’s school in Spain which attracts serious farmers - not just ‘art farmers’ - worldwide

He has also worked extensively with Grizedale Arts. As a specialist in artisan cheese, Fernando led a cheesemaking course for young Cumbrian farmers in 2011 which were cultivated in Ruskin’s Ice house at Brantwood.

His work through @inland_campoadentro , a collective dedicated to agricultural, social and cultural production, confronts the various problems of a system which is collapsing at its environmental, cultural and financial levels.
